Cookie and Consent Notice
Last Updated: August 2026
This notice explains how sphinmedia.com uses cookies and similar technologies, what each category of cookie is for, and how you give, withhold, or change your consent. It sits alongside our Website Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
Table of Content
1. Who we are
Sphin Media is the studio brand operated by Assur Media, a UAE Free Zone Company registered under the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park Free Zone Authority, Registration No. 9978. Assur Media is the contracting party, and all commercial and legal correspondence is issued under Assur Media.
Assur Media decides how and why cookies are used on this site, and is responsible for the personal data described in this notice.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device so the site can work and remember things. "Similar technologies" means other small tools that do much the same job, such as tags, pixels, and local storage. In this notice, when we say "cookies", we mean cookies and these similar technologies together.
3. The categories we use
Cookies are grouped by what they are for. This site uses four categories.
Strictly necessary. These make the site work, for example keeping a page secure, remembering what you put in a form, or completing a payment at checkout. The site cannot work properly without them, so they do not need your consent.
Functional. These remember choices you make, such as a preference or a setting, so you do not have to make the same choice again.
Analytics. These help us understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. On this site, analytics are provided through Squarespace and Google. Our most recent site scan found no Google Analytics cookies; if that changes, they will be listed in section 9.
Marketing. These are used for advertising and for measuring whether an advertisement led to a visit or an enquiry. On this site, marketing cookies and tags are provided through Google Ads and DoubleClick (Google). We also use Mailchimp for email marketing where you have opted in, and it set no cookies on this site in our most recent scan.
Which cookies are actually set within each category depends on the pages you visit and the features you use. The list is in section 9.
4. When cookies are set
The site is set up so that the most privacy-preserving option applies unless you choose otherwise. Cookies in the functional, analytics and marketing categories are set only after you allow them. Strictly necessary cookies stay on, because the site cannot work without them.
5. The third parties whose cookies or tags may be set
We use the following providers on this site or in connection with it.
These providers set their own cookies and tags under their own terms. Where a provider sets a cookie or a tag on this site, it appears in the table in section 9.
6. How to give, withhold, or change your consent
When you first visit the site, a consent banner asks which categories of non-essential cookies you allow. You can change that choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. That link reopens the same control you used when you first arrived, so you can withdraw a choice in the same way you gave it, and you do not need to give a reason. Strictly necessary cookies stay on, because the site needs them to work.
You can also manage cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or warn you before one is set, from their settings or privacy menu. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
Consent on this site is managed through Squarespace.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers and browser extensions can send a "Do Not Track" or a "Global Privacy Control" signal. There is no single agreed standard for how a website should respond to these signals, and this site does not act on them automatically. To set or change your choice on this site, use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
8. How we record your consent
When you make a choice in the consent banner, we keep a record of that choice so we can show what was chosen and when. Your choice is remembered for 6 months, after which the banner asks again. We keep consent records for 24 months.
If you clear cookies in your browser, or use a different browser or device, the stored choice is removed and the banner asks again.
9. The cookies on this site
The exact cookies a site sets depend on the pages you visit and the features you use, so this table is completed from a scan of the live site. Cookies set by Stripe and by PayPal appear when you make a payment at checkout.
This table reflects a scan of the live site carried out on 13 August 2026. No Stripe, PayPal, Mailchimp, or Google Analytics cookies were observed in that scan. Stripe and PayPal cookies are set only when you make a payment at checkout, and will be added here once a checkout scan is completed.
